Harvest Scarf.

As cliche classic hipster as it seems, the scarf is a modern accessory essential. Whether you wear it 1950's high neck or cowboy style in the front, it will add a dash of whimsy to a plain sweater or cardigan. The scarf I'm wearing seriously edgar allen pones with its kaleidoscopic colors reminiscent of Hungarian folk dress.Happy Harvest Scarf Hunting!

Modern Kids.

Kinda Bad-A. kinda for a show. Kinda something you wouldn't want to come traipsing up in when your about to visit your boyfriends strict and rich parents. But there is a time and a place reserved for a get-up like this. The stage, a techno dance party or a modern poetry reading. Its actually only a navy blazer with gold piping, giving it that decemberists military fantasy and Victorian look, The Black Boots,(which are a little "rebel") and black skinnies. Nothing scandalous on there own but when these fantastic three pieces are placed together its just like "wham bam!"

Friday Night shed in a Black Light.

On Friday evening and you walk arm in arm with a boy in a navy blazer but what are you wearing? Please tell me your not wearing the stilettos and the red halter dress, dear me, no. What you should wear is this: A lovely tre chic black Parisian ballet inspired dress. It has a becoming tiered tulle skirt and a cinched waist. Every outfit needs a little "Born Ruffian" aspect, so I added the rustic leather belt. It will shock and delight. I say screw the heels they are just way to predictable. Do something daring like wearing leather black ruffled ankle boots! Here She comes are in arm with that blazer, all elegance, all originality, arm in arm by the darkening bay. You might look as iconic as James Dean.

Always,

Beatrice.

The Garden Girl.

My Mother found this hat in a free basket at some bohemian market. What a lucky little girl am I to have a mother so thrifty and fond of straw garden hats. Needless to say, I'm also found of straw garden hats with big black ribbons, like mother like daughter. I paired the hat with my new white and blue floral print blouse. Nothing screams garden girl like florals and a sun hat. The look is fresh, like a whiff of daffodil.

mocha blossom nifty shift.

"Ah," sighed the garden party attendees as Beatrice walked into the lamp lit yard. Her vintage floral shift clung to the leather belt like a barnacle on the bottom of a wayward ship. Alright this scene never happened but it easily could have when wearing this vintage masterpiece. It's completely its own, classic. I paired the lovely dress with blue wool calf length socks and my sisters camel colored oxford-Esq shoes. I tried to keep the vintage feel covering the entire ensemble.

Boots like Win Butler.

I saw Arcade Fire in concert this August. Needless to say, It was like a flash of blue lightning, all electric energy. Mr. Win Butler had donned a pair of black boots for the show, I liked them alot. Surprisingly, on my birthday this past week my little sister got me a similar pair( they are just a little shorter) I adore them. I was afraid at first they were a bit to "Youth in Rebellion," but they look nothing at all like that. They give any outfit a fierceness and dresses look extra charming paired with these leather lovelies.

Oh, Captain.

AHOY, Its been way too long. My camera is in freak-out hibernation mode so the pictures are a tad bit fuzzy. So I found this rather dashing captains hat at the thrift store for fifty cents! It was like Christmas morning. I thought it looked nice with a pale jean loose fitting button up shirt and dark wash skinnies. Its simple, living is easy on a houseboat.
