Beast Coast.

Making my little black and white puppy poodle into a hipster has been loads of fun. She absolutely hates me for it though. But after much fidgeting, prodding and positioning I got these two "Alright" shots, although I think they are fantastic because she is just so dang cute. This short was just another purchase from thrift city the other day. I really like the ocean colors and bold design. Perfect for a heated July day.

Pumpkins are not just for Halloween.

Mod Mod Mod. That's all I could think when I spied this smart little orange and white embellished jacket. I've been trying to add little pockets of color to my withering wardrobe. My style has been rusticating in the waters of quick and easy. Everyday I wear jeans and either a plain v neck or grey, black or a deep blue variation of a sweatshirt. Its not only dismal but exceedingly muggy. So, when I found this exciting jacket I was struck by a spark of inspiration and my clothes hounding ways were once more ignited! I paired the jacket with jeans because I'm trying to avoid it looking "1960's costumy." I tried it with a skirt but it just look to vintage to the point of embarrassment. Vintage fashion is about blending the style of the past with a style of the present. Blurring the lines that connect generation to generation. The Beach photograph is just one of my favourite Hipstimatic prints I took over the weekend.

Cabbage Town.

The Fourth, a spangled night of bottle rockets and crochet. I set up the backyard for this impromptu garden party, complete with lanterns, barbecue and flies. My post today is pretty lame, I didn't have the energy to orchestrate an elaborate edgy outfit but instead I offer you, with humble head bowed, these pictures of me using my thin blue vintage scarf as both a hair band and a hap-hazard neck bow! Two for one!
