A classic look. Black v neck and white and black ethnic printed skirt. A very unassuming ensemble but the leather fringe vest adds the necessary eclectic touch, the desired hint of mystery. Very simple to put together but very effective. Pairing patterns with a simple base color then adding on the unexpected element keeps the curiosity, the sense of wonder embodied in the clothing.

Antique articles.
A music box lined with faded red velvet housed the glittering jewels of some ancient Grandma. A silver coil of necklaces, floral print, white dotted handkerchiefs and blue and gold chipped earrings, these adornments add romance and drama to any ensemble. On a normal day wearing jeans and a button up, add some gems and your off! I found some lovely hats from the second hand empire. The red one is sorta vague in the way to be worn, kinda got it on a whim. The pink is very 1940's, classic....such a treasure.

The school Girl.
I wanted to create a classic looking ensemble with modern flourishes. I tried to use the same pallet of browns and a mixture of blues to keep the outfit "coherent". The navy trouser is more modern than the traditional pleated skirt that would usually accompany a school girl look. I love suspenders, especially if they happen to be in a golden brown. I love scarves of all sorts and the colours so compliment the deep blue of the fitted blouse and the brown hues in the suspenders. The bag was an old bowling bag I got for two bucks at half off thrift day, vintage. I used the scarf as a hair bow and how else could the look be completed without them rimz? Its very Innocent, very charming. Oh, and try only putting mascara only on the bottom lashes some day, it gives a very doe eyed effect.

Blue moon...
Shaundra Models a new shirt coming back in style, well at least in the deep hipster recesses of forever 21. The wide cut half shirt layered on top of a corresponding blue long sleeve, reminiscent of the eighties "fat" shirt. The look is paired with an ultra skinny trouser and thriftstore one of a kind black Mary Jane cutouts. Personally, I'm trying to steer away from the ultra skinny leg and lean towards a more comfortable boot leg cut. Fashion in a sense is all about experimentation and creativity. There is a whole lot of trail and error involved but we learn from our failures.

a pentax present.
My friend Peter K, so graciously let me borrow his extremely serious/moderately expensive Pentax camera to further my photographic skills on my trip to Colorado. Why don't we all just give him one big round of applause! This will be my last post for approximately two weeks, I'm very apprehensive about being gone for a fortnight(when that word is used it sounds irregularly long) Hear are some photographs that have been taken this past rainy week with Penny(yes, I named her or else she would run away)

A Well Dressed Gentleman....
There is something very refreshing about a man in a skinny trouser, something reassuring about a navy blazer, something timeless about a skinny trouser, something charming about brown oxfords, something of perfection in a black cable knit sweater, something magnetic about a finely dress man. So here's my A list of males with either iconic or a timeless sense of signature fashion. I'm just throwing in my gentlemen inspired ensemble. Crisp white collard shirt, navy blazer and skinny trouser....Check!
