You might be thinking, " I cant wear that in public, I'm not Kevin Barnes!" It's not as bad as it looks(it doesn't look bad to begin with) We would all give a lolly-pop to have the freedom to embrace a striking and majestic statement like the sequined shirts shown above. Don't worry about getting stares and confused glances. Chances are they're just trying to figure out the mysterious enigma that surrounds you fashion persona. I got these little gems at none other that the brilliant new thrift shop called, "SUPER THRIFT" and indeed it is in fact Super Super! The black sequined blouse resembles some ancient jazz baby come back to haunt the fashion of the future. It can be worm with nice black skinny slacks for an edgy sophisticated look or with light wash cutoff denims for that "devil may care, I can wear a fancy vintage eye catching blouse with my simple shorts" statement. The Pink blouse takes a little more inner "oomph." It's most likely because the color is pink which could, if you were equipped with a platinum wig, give off a Disney child star vibe. But worn under a structured blazer or over an airy skirt releases a lady-like, breathe of sweet June, vibe. Go For the gold!

Beatrice basically bobbed her hair.
last night I got an itching impulse. It was not the kind of impulse you could throw off like a jacket in December, no it was an impulse I was eventually going to follow. I was bored, it was that time of night when you have finished all your home-work, read your books, ate your dinner and laid on the couch. I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, put my hair in two pigtails and....Chop! It was over like a flash of light, my hair lay in two swirling ropes on the dirty floor. I had been sheared. My mother of course had to actually trim me up, get the lines etc... and it's still not finished. Stage one.

If you're a bird i'm a bird.
The roar of the night and the dusting of cold stars made me feel. The smoke red pop of a dozen firecrackers ignited sentiment in my heart. The Field, all freshly cut and smelling of sweat and winter and fire. Those images, those memories were the propelling inspiration behind this post. I wanted to wear something that was simple and old like a 1940's school girl. I think the starched whiteness of the collar gives a hint of attitude to the somewhat simplistic navy dress. The gold buttons and crackling navy belt accentuate the flattering and graceful lines of the garment. I found the silver shoes for a dollar fifty at the "Friends of strays" thrift shoppe. The shoes are the unexpected shimmer, the surprising contrast, the key to any well developed look.
