America.

The red white and blue roots of our country have been submerged under the soil of culture friendly, hipster promoting,anti-Americanism. I personally celebrate the freedom and traditions of truly American culture and pride. This look was inspired by old-time American summers. Large ruby watermelon smiles and bare feet running over heat kissed asphalt. Mason jars holding ice and yellow lemonade. The slippery wet grass on the edge of the sun dotted lake. Rocket shaped Popsicles melting under a humid moon flooded sky. The afternoon movie matinee. Ray Bradbury wrote a book called Dandelion Wine which beautifully embodies the images and emotions of youthful vintage summers. Back to fashion. So the dress I have is simple. I felt no need to dress it up or over dramatize it. The navy top and starched white skirt collide in classic harmony and the red and blue trim add that almost costume like American edge. The straw hat hints at sun kissed walks and summer naps.
